The IPS VI Organizing Team decided to allocate $10,000 to support travel for students (PhD, Masters and Undergraduate) studying in Canada and conducting research on poplars and willows in Canada, to participate at Poplar and Willow Council of Canada (PWCC) meetings or related events, such as IUFRO - IPS VII, the Short Rotation Woody Crops Operations Working Group, and the International Poplar Commission Session in Berlin in 2016 (IPC 2016). Students must be PWCC members and must present their paper orally. The PWCC was asked to manage this Travel Award Fund.
The PWCC-UBC Student Travel Award will be awarded by a three-person committee (two from PWCC Board of Directors and one from the Faculty of Forestry at UBC). Information on the application process is available on this website.
The 2015 PWCC annual meeting is scheduled for September 15-18, 2015 at the Lac Duparquet Research Station in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec.
